Sandler has officially announced the expansion of its U.S. facility, Sandler Nonwoven Corporation in Perry, Georgia. This $60 million USD investment will require construction of a new building, installation of a new nonwoven production line, and will create 70 clean and safe jobs in Houston County.

Sandler Nonwoven Corporation has already started the expansion process! After numerous planning hours, construction of the new facility began on August 26, 2019. This new construction will be attached to the existing building; more than doubling its size by adding 135,000 square feet.  Construction is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2019, so that the installation of new production equipment can begin early next year.  As an end result, this rapid forward movement will enable production to commence in fall 2020.

“Sandler is proud to invest in the expansion of the Perry site. This first overseas subsidiary has provided our company with an active point of entry into the North American markets. It enabled our team to expand the long-standing business relationships with local clients and to further enhance customer service”, says Tobias Baumgärtel, President of Sandler Nonwoven Corporation.

Dr. Christian Heinrich Sandler, President & CEO of Sandler AG, expressed his gratitude to the authorities of the State of Georgia, Houston County and the City of Perry, for welcoming Sandler and for their continuous support. Above all, he thanked the Sandler team: “During the past 3 years, a great team has been assembled here in Perry. I would like to thank you for your dedication, hard work, and loyalty to the company. We are proud to have you as part of the Sandler family.”

During the recent 140th anniversary celebration, Dr. Sandler announced that Sandler is “inspired by the future”; explaining that the U.S. expansion is part of a series of investments.  Because this fourth-generation family-owned, German nonwoven manufacturer is inspired by the future, the company is investing in the future. A commitment to continuous growth, progress, innovation, and forward momentum has enabled Sandler to become a market leader in the industry; ranking as one of the top nonwoven manufacturers in the world.  Over the course of the next two years, Sandler will invest a total of $90 million USD at its German and U.S. facilities.
